Cashier Training: How to Use POS2

Welcome to POS2 cashier training. This course teaches you how to use the Syncrostore POS2 register, from opening your cash drawer to closing out at the end of your shift.

You will learn how to:

  • Select your register and open your cash drawer
  • Scan, look up and add items, including manual items
  • Attach customers, apply discounts and get manager approval
  • Take cash, check, card, gift card, loyalty point and vendor balance payments, including split payments
  • Save sales for later and handle layaways, rent payments and gift card sales
  • Handle card problems safely, without ever charging a customer twice
  • Close your drawer and complete the store closeout

Work through the sections in order, then take the final quiz. Plan on about 60 to 90 minutes.
